Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using ChopNow's food and grocery delivery services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all users, including customers, restaurant partners, grocery stores, and delivery riders in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Use of Services
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use ChopNow. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
Account Registration
- • You must provide accurate and complete information
- • You are responsible for maintaining account security
- • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- • One account per user; multiple accounts are prohibited
Orders and Payments
Placing Orders
- • All orders are subject to acceptance by the restaurant or store
- • Prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦)
- • Prices may vary between partners and are subject to change
- • Delivery fees and service charges apply as indicated
Payment
- • Payment is due at the time of order placement
- • We accept card payments, bank transfers, and cash on delivery
- • All transactions are processed securely through our payment partners
- • You authorize us to charge your selected payment method
Cancellations and Refunds
- • Orders can be cancelled before restaurant/store acceptance
- • Refunds for cancelled orders are processed within 5-7 business days
- • Partial refunds may apply if items are unavailable
- • We reserve the right to cancel fraudulent or suspicious orders
Delivery Terms
- • Estimated delivery times are approximate and not guaranteed
- • Delivery is available within our service area in Uyo
- • You must provide accurate delivery address and contact information
- • Additional charges may apply for remote or hard-to-reach locations
- • We are not liable for delays due to weather, traffic, or unforeseen circumstances
- • Orders must be received by someone 18 years or older
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- • Use the service for any illegal purpose
- • Provide false or misleading information
- • Harass, abuse, or harm our staff, partners, or riders
- • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- • Place fraudulent or excessive orders
- • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- • Use automated systems or bots to access our services
Food Safety and Quality
While we work with trusted partners and take food safety seriously:
- • Food preparation is the responsibility of restaurant and grocery partners
- • We are not liable for food quality, allergies, or dietary restrictions
- • Please inspect orders upon delivery and report issues immediately
- • Contact us within 24 hours for order-related complaints
Intellectual Property
All content on ChopNow, including logos, trademarks, text, images, and software, is owned by ChopNow or licensed to us. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- • ChopNow is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific order
- • We are not responsible for actions of third-party partners or riders
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold ChopNow harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or use of ChopNow shall be governed by the laws of Nigeria. You agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through our customer support before pursuing legal action.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our app and website. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or any reason at our discretion. You may also close your account at any time through the app settings.
